Major delays on M25 anticlockwise near Brentwood. Roadworks causing 16-mile backups. Expect longer commute times.

The M25 anticlockwise is affected as roadworks in Essex are causing the problems. INRIX says traffic is backed up for 16 miles, starting between junction 28 and junction 27. Traffic cameras show huge lines of cars this morning, so your commute will probably take longer today.
National Highways works near Brentwood impact travel. They are upgrading junction 28 of the M25 with the A12. This £140m project involves some road closures. The entry slip will be closed one weekend, from February 14 at 10 PM to February 17 at 5 AM.
A diversion route will be clearly marked where drivers will go on the M25 clockwise to J28, then loop back onto the M25 anticlockwise at J29. National Highways and TfL will turn off ULEZ cameras on this route; however, ULEZ fees may still apply if you leave the diversion.
The M25 J28 roundabout is very busy, with around 7,500 vehicles using it at peak times. The junction is full, causing traffic jams which negatively impact local air quality.
