Forbici, a new pizzeria with Neapolitan roots, is opening in Manchester. They plan to serve craft beer too.

Forbici, a “new wave” pizza place, is coming. They claim to have powerful pizza dough. Find them on Cross Street near St Ann’s Square. Other Italian places are nearby.
This new restaurant is very Neapolitan. “Forbici” means scissors in Italian. They will use amazing dough. It is handmade with special flour from Molini Pizzuti. The dough proofs for 12 hours, which makes a light crust.
The place is near the town hall and Albert Square. They make pizza the Neapolitan way and cut it with scissors. The pizza oven is from Sorrento and is a world-class Acunto Forni oven.
They use tomatoes from Solania, the only true San Manzarno DOP producer. They also use Fior di Latte mozzarella which comes from Vico Equese, a coastal town. Forbici is bringing a taste of Naples to Manchester.
They plan to serve craft beer too, coming from Amarcord, an early Italian brewery.
The restaurant is on De Quincy House, across from Zambrero, a Mexican place, and next to Wright’s Fish and Chips. The store was empty since 2019 and used to be a Betfred.
Forbici will open this spring in Manchester.
