The M4 will close soon. It shuts down from March 21 to March 24. This closure affects junctions 18 and 19. The closure starts Friday at 7 PM and ends Monday at 6 AM.

They need to break down a bridge, the A432 Badminton Road Bridge. This section of the M4 is very busy, so expect major delays. Try to avoid the area if possible.

Westbound drivers need a detour. Exit at junction 18 and take the A46 towards Bath. Then, take the A420 toward Warmley and the A4174, heading to the M32. Join the M32 at junction 1 and go to M4 junction 19. Eastbound drivers should reverse this route.

The demolition will be loud during the weekend, but workers will work to reduce noise at night. Stay away from the bridge during the work; it is not safe to enter the work site.

The A432 bridge will close March 7, restricting access for pedestrians and cyclists. Use Down Road, Bury Hill, and Church Lane instead; they will post signs for this route.

Cuckoo Lane junction must also close, including traffic, walkers, and bikers. This closure begins on March 20 and reopens on March 24. Cuckoo Lane access uses Down Road and Bury Hill. After demolition, they will build a new bridge, which will require a future M4 closure, and they will announce these dates later.
