Water tower near Twycross Zoo is up for auction. Listed at £35,000 plus fees, it offers a unique opportunity.

This tower is on Roe House Lane, near Norton Juxta Twycross. SDL Property Auctions has it listed. The tower stands about 56 feet tall and is located between Appleby Magna and other towns. The land around the tower comes with it.
Someone applied for permission to convert it into a six-bedroom house last year, in February. However, the council said no to the conversion.
The council didn’t think it was a good location, citing the need for people to drive everywhere, instead of using other options. They thought converting the tower would harm the area and negatively affect local beauty; therefore the council disapproved of the plans.
The plans included a rooftop terrace, a lift, stairs, and parking. They even planned a water butt to collect rainwater. The auction details don’t show any plans, suggesting potential buyers check things out before bidding.
It lists for £35,000 plus fees. The auction starts February 27 at 9 AM. You can find more details online.
