Leicester house exceeds expectations at auction, selling for £655,000 due to building potential.

The auction happened Thursday, February 27, and SDL Property Auctions handled the sale. The house is near Scraptoft Lane, with a good amount of land sitting behind the property.
Someone asked about building there before, and nine years ago, they got positive feedback. Plans showed seven or eight townhouses were possible, sitting at the back of the property.
The house has three reception rooms and features a fancy landing. A stained glass window is there, and SDL called the hallway “impressive,” noting that a staircase returns in a stunning way.
Inside, the kitchen has basic cabinets, and there are three bedrooms. One bedroom includes built-in closets, while the bathroom has a separate toilet. A walled garden sits out front, and a driveway leads to a garage.
The house was listed for £425,000 but sold for a huge £655,000. The possible new construction improved the price, beating all auction expectations.
