A five year old boy from South Bristol conquers his fear of water and swims 5 metres. Carly Glass helped him accomplish this award.

He began swimming at six months old with his grandparents at Redhill House in North Somerset. At first, Joshua feared woggles and didn’t want to put his face in the water. His teacher, Carly Glass, helped a lot, and his family supported him too. He built confidence and liked his lessons.
Carly is very proud of Joshua’s progress. She has taught Joshua every week since he was a baby and believes his progress is incredible. Joshua met challenges, and his confidence grew. His mom and grandparents initially thought progress was slow, but Carly advised them to keep going.
Joshua finished the Puddle Ducks program and is now in Swim Academy with Carly at The Chocolate Quarter. He always works hard and smiles; swimming takes practice and patience, and Carly says don’t give up because kids will eventually succeed.
Joshua’s mom, Louise, is thankful for Carly. She appreciates Carly’s hard work, patience, determination, and support. Louise says Joshua succeeded because of Carly and thinks Carly is great for Puddle Ducks, who are lucky to have her.
