Ross M raised £136k+ for Alzheimer Scotland. Nominated for award. Inspired by mom with disease, Angie.

The illness has taken a lot from Angie; she can no longer talk or walk. Ross feels helpless watching her decline, but she has survived much longer than expected. Ross says she is a warrior, and he’s grateful for their bond, adding that he gets his traits from her.
Angie was a fun, happy person, who had a hairdressing salon. She made everyone smile and laugh. Ross remembers the day she forgot him, but he keeps going for the mom he knows and treasures the memories he has with her.
Ross initially took time off work to care for her, and he then worked in care to learn about Alzheimer’s. He took courses for better care, but now his dad is her main caregiver. Ross appreciates his dad’s selfless care, confirming they keep her comfortable at home.
Ross raises money for Alzheimer’s Scotland, and he and his friends have raised £136,700. They have organized many challenges for Angie, including climbing Ben Nevis and walking the West Highland Way. He also organizes DJ events.
Ross feels fundraising helps him give back and connect people who need support. Others nominate him for awards, but he says it is all for his mom. She is his inspiration.
