New parking restrictions are coming to Penybryn estate in Crossgates to address inconsiderate parking issues.

Powys Council reviewed parking ideas for Penybryn. They worried about inconsiderate parking there recently. The review ran from October 18 to November 18. One person objected to the plan.
Another person showed their support. One response was neutral. Geoff Morgan supports the yellow lines. He is a Crossgates councillor. He said lorries struggle with the low railway bridge. They enter the estate to turn around.
Lorries reversing onto the A483 are dangerous. The lines help lorries turn safely. Someone objected because of bungalow access. Bungalow four lacks parking.
The car park is far for some residents. Yellow lines hurt residents two and four. These residents might be elderly or disabled, it was mentioned. A council officer dismissed this objection.
The objector does not live at number two or four. Residents of those bungalows did not object. The council assumes they agree with the plan. The officer told Jackie Charlton to proceed.
Jackie Charlton is in charge of highways. She overruled the objection. The plan starts February 18. Councillors can still challenge the decision.
