Police seized two dogs in Sutton Coldfield after a dog died in an attack. The incident occurred on Stone Avenue near Churchill Parade shops shortly after 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4th.

Reports say three police cars arrived quickly, along with a dog van, following reports of a dog killing another. An eyewitness described a big scene around 7:20 p.m.

The eyewitness stated a dog had killed another. Six officers in three police cars responded and said one dog seemed very angry and wild. Police confirmed some facts about the dogs.

An owner surrendered their XL Bully and Cane Corso, an Italian mastiff breed. West Midlands Police shared details, noting they got a call about a dog out of control after 7 p.m.

Police found a dog already dead, killed by another dog. The owner gave up both dogs to the police, who took them to secure kennels as the investigation continues.

Police denied some reports, confirming no officer was hurt during the incident and that they did not put a dog down in the road. An inspector confirmed both dogs were seized and not killed at the scene.
