Zair Guette, former X Factor contestant, was kidnapped and murdered after a concert in Colombia. His manager was also attacked.
Sadly, someone kidnapped and murdered Zair. He was leaving a concert with his manager when the incident occurred after the concert ended.
Locals found Zair Guette’s body last Friday in a remote area. Zair was only 24 years old. His hands and feet were bound, and he was gagged.
He suffered many injuries and blows. A gunshot to the head caused his death.
Zair’s manager, Teddy Vergara lvarez, was also hurt and found near Zair. Teddy said armed men stopped them as they were leaving the concert together, and the men took them to a remote spot.
The attackers beat and tortured them there. Teddy believes he lived by faking death. He went to a hospital in Ginebra, and later, they moved him to Buga.
Zair was from Barranquilla and had 175,000 Instagram followers. His grandfather told him to sing after hearing Zair singing in the shower.
He started in Mexico singing folk music. He toured Europe, visiting Italy and Spain, and became famous in Colombia, where he appeared on reality shows.
His sister, Saray Guette, shared her grief, saying his death stole their happiness. He took Mexican music to a new level.
Authorities are still investigating the motive.
