A bad crash happened in a tunnel near Green River, Wyoming. Sadly, two people are likely dead after the “ugly” crash that involved several vehicles, including a tractor trailer.

The tractor trailer carried transformers, likely causing a big explosion. Officials worry the tunnel might fall apart, and the scene is contained right now. Conditions inside the tunnel are not safe due to the fire and tunnel damage.

Two deaths are suspected, and at least seven people went to the hospital. Rescuing anyone else is tough because the situation is very dangerous.

Fire crews had trouble getting there at first, and the crash shut down Interstate 80 westbound, a major road in Wyoming. The situation is being treated like a big crime scene.

Pictures show black smoke coming from the tunnel, which runs under mountains near Green River. Reports say trucks were in the crash, which seems to have happened around noon local time.

Senator John Kolb said the tunnel could collapse and stated the incident is devastating, especially for those grieving.

David Brewer and his daughter saw the crash and heard the explosions, which he noted lasted for around 30 to 45 minutes. Alyssa described the event vividly, saying it was very scary.

Jennifer Lynn Carr saw smoke from home, near the Utah road. She and her daughter heard loud booms that resembled cars crashing, and her daughter became terrified.

Local resident Stan Blake commented on the crash, saying it seemed different. He had never seen so much smoke and called the wreck really, really bad.
