Body of young woman discovered at Porthtowan cliffs. Police investigate, seeking public assistance for identification.
Emergency services got a call on Saturday, February 8, at 2:55 PM. Someone reported a body at Porthtowan’s cliffs. An ambulance and coastguards went there quickly, and a lifeboat moved the body to the beach.
The woman hasn’t been identified yet, but people think she was in her 20s and may be from the Truro area. She is described as slim with dark hair and was wearing all black clothing, including her shoes, trousers, top, and coat. She also had a red handbag.
Her death seems unexplained right now, but police do not think it’s suspicious. They still need to formally identify her, and a report will go to the coroner.
