Jade Clayton got a four-year jail sentence. She committed five violent crimes in just ten days. A judge said her offenses were inexcusable, and she pleaded guilty to several charges, including robbery, assault, and attacking a police officer.

Clayton, who is 25 and from Hull, committed the crimes in August. She punched a shop manager in the face and also stamped on the woman’s head. She bit a man who tried to stop her, and attacked another woman, harming a police officer.

Prosecutors stated the trouble began at a Heron Foods store where several women stole items. Clayton waited outside the shop, and when they left, a manager and a man tried to intervene. Clayton then attacked the manager.

Clayton dragged the woman and repeatedly punched the manager’s head. She stamped on the victim’s head, and grabbed the manager’s phone and change. A man tried to stop Clayton from leaving, but Clayton bit his arm, causing a wound.

Clayton also attacked a female police officer; officers tried to arrest Clayton’s boyfriend. Clayton approached the officer from behind and pulled her to the ground. The officer’s face hit the road hard.

Clayton grabbed the officer’s neck with her arm, and wrapped her leg around the officer, refusing to release her hold. Clayton did not answer questions during police interviews.

Later, Clayton and her boyfriend argued with a woman, and her boyfriend spat at the woman. Clayton then punched the woman. The woman filmed the pair and followed them, and in an alley, they attacked the woman, taking her to the ground.

They tried to grab the woman’s phone. During the assault, Clayton bit her ear. They threatened to kill her if she did not give them the phone and told her not to call the police.

Clayton’s lawyer stated that she was sorry. Her lawyer said her drug and alcohol use grew, and added that Clayton’s relationship was difficult.

The judge said Clayton committed serious crimes in a short time and noted her addiction to drugs and alcohol. He said punishment was necessary, stating there was no excuse for her actions.
