A woman died after an assault. It happened at New Street Station.

Police responded to reports of the attack. It occurred on Tuesday, November 19 last year, after 11am. The woman was in her 80s and suffered serious injuries during the incident.

Her injuries included a broken thigh, and several ribs might have been hurt too. She got medical care for her injuries, but sadly, she passed away on December 27.

Police started an investigation and think her death relates to the attack.

British Transport Police seek a witness who potentially has crucial information. He is a tall, white man in his early 30s with a goatee.

He wore a brown beanie, black glasses, a black peacoat, and beige chinos. Dark grey gloves, a light grey scarf, black shoes, and a black backpack completed his attire.

A woman in her 20s was arrested, initially charged with grievous bodily harm, and then arrested for manslaughter. She is out on bail while they investigate.

Detective Inspector Ian Wright wants the witness to step forward, believing he has vital information. Wright asks the man or any other witnesses to contact them.
