Emma Llewellyn caught in Jersey with £13,000 of cocaine claimed it was “just a bit of coke” after flying from Liverpool.

She was caught at the airport with cocaine. When officers found the package, she made a comment in Jersey, saying, “It’s just a bit of coke.” Emma arrived from Liverpool’s airport.
Officials asked her about her visit, which was November 8 of last year. She said she planned to visit a friend on the island. She denied using drugs at first, but later, she said she used cocaine the week before.
During a search, they found the cocaine, 52 grams in a wrapped package. The street value was estimated at £13,000. She responded to questions about it by stating, “It’s just a bit of coke.”
She later admitted to importing drugs and said she would get £1,000 for it. Emma owed someone £350, and she called him “pornstar.” He gave her the drugs to carry.
She described “pornstar” as Asian, around 50 years old, and having a “fat belly.” She also said he seemed “quite flashy.” He told her a contact would reach out in Jersey to take the drugs.
Llewellyn lived in Stoke-on-Trent. She went to jail on Thursday, and her sentence is four years and six months long. Paul Le Monnier, who manages Jersey Customs and Immigration, made a statement afterward.
Le Monnier spoke about the risks people take when trying to import drugs for payment. The courts give out harsh sentences, and these sentences should discourage others.
