Kailee Brantner, 22, faces charges including battery and reckless injury. She allegedly stabbed her boyfriend following a wedding venue fight in Wisconsin.

Police arrived on January 29 at a home and found a man hurt, holding a towel to his neck. An officer said the couple had a wedding argument concerning using their home as a venue.

Earlier that day, they texted, discussing his mother and wedding plans. The texts became an argument, and when Brantner arrived home, police say it turned violent. Officers say Brantner grabbed a knife, claiming she felt scared as things worsened and he approached her. He then got stabbed.

A detective shared the boyfriend’s claim that she started the fight and he tried to leave. He felt pain when trying to leave and noticed the knife, police report. He tried to escape through the back door.

Brantner stayed on the couch to avoid fleeing accusations. Police arrested her based on evidence and statements.

She appeared in court on January 31. Her next hearing is February 13 in Waukesha County, Wisconsin.

Separately, a man stabbed people in Dublin, targeting random people and slashing faces in Stoneybatter. Three Irish people were hurt.

It is not believed terror was involved. The attacker may be South American, and all injured people went to a hospital. Police arrested one man regarding that incident.
