Six new, eco-friendly four-bedroom council houses are now open in West Bromwich, featuring EV chargers and solar panels.

Sandwell Council built them with SWG Construction. Homes England gave them grant money. The homes are on Whitgreave Street. They blend modern style with green tech.
Every house has a car charger and solar panels. The council wants eco-friendly living and to lower energy bills. A shared garden area exists, and visitors get parking spots.
There’s a new road for access now. Pavements and streetlights were built, and the drainage below ground was upgraded. There’s also more car parking now.
Sandwell plans more homes, and over sixty should finish soon. These homes will be very high quality and will meet local needs.
SWG helped the community too by offering chances to local people. Two students gained plastering skills, and a forklift driver got a job. SWG hired surveyor apprentices.
SWG helped the Yew Tree Centre, donating time and supplies to make it brighter for everyone. A Nova Training student helped paint.
SWG is proud of the houses, which give families energy-efficient homes. SWG is committed to green living and also cares about the community.
Sandwell built many new homes. Since 2016, they built over five hundred. More homes are under construction now, and they plan to build even more soon.
