Cadent Gas says road work will last longer. They are working on Weelsby Road, Hainton Avenue, and Peaks Lane. The project is taking more time than they thought.

The Weelsby Road and Hainton Avenue work is behind schedule. This is due to low pressure and problems with the equipment. Cadent ordered special things to fix it and wants to prevent the problem later.

They initially thought work would end February 17, but now expect to finish by March 3. This represents a delay of about two weeks.

Traffic lights move to Heneage Road on March 13 as workers connect new equipment. Hainton Avenue will close north of Welholme Road from March 3 to March 24. The council let people know about it.

Cadent will continue upgrading Peaks Lane from April 21 to June 30. They will use temporary traffic lights, but don’t need to close the road.

The council apologizes for any problems caused and appreciates everyone’s patience. For details, you can call Cadent Gas at 0800 389 8000.
