Uisce Éireann will fix water pipes in Cullen. They will replace over a kilometer of old pipes. This work starts in late March and should finish by May.

This pipe replacement is part of a leakage program. The work happens on the N72 at Cullen Crossroads. People in the area should get better water and have fewer water issues.

Jack Cronin works for Uisce Éireann. He said old pipes cause leaks and water problems. Fixing these pipes stops leaks and saves clean water.

Traffic will be managed during the pipe work with a stop/go system. Water might be off briefly, and people will get two days’ notice.

Ward and Burke Construction does the work for Uisce Éireann. John Paul O’Shea thanked people for their patience, saying the outcome will be beneficial.

Old water pipes in Cork city will also be fixed. Over four kilometers of pipes, some a century old, will get replaced.

Uisce Éireann has reduced water loss in Cork city by 50%. This saves 17 million liters daily, and they will invest more in Cork’s water.
