A new weekly 5k parkrun event has started in Warminster at Thoulstone Park every Saturday at 9 am.

This new parkrun is a 5k event and anyone can join. You can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or simply watch. It’s totally free to join in the fun. The startup cost was £4,800 overall.
That money paid for important stuff like a defibrillator and course signs. The Warminster Town Council gave £2,800, adding to the £2,000 they already had secured. That’s pretty cool.
Councillor Steve Jeffries is really happy. He hopes everyone enjoys the event. Parkrun is inclusive for all abilities, helping people’s physical and mental health; he’s glad the council supported it.
The first Thoulstone parkrun was February 8th. Now that’s history. You need to register before, though, and don’t forget your barcode to scan!
