The Prince in Walsall, a listed 200 year old pub, gains approval to be converted into three one-bedroom apartments.

They will tear down parts added later, specifically those at the side and back of the pub. The Prince used to be a Banks’s pub, but it shut down back in 2019.
Now, it’s on a list of special local buildings. The building has cool windows with colored glass and green tiles outside. It was once called The Prince Blucher, a name that came from a Prussian army leader who fought at the Battle of Waterloo.
The letters NWB are on the front, related to a brewery. North Worcestershire Brewery owned it in 1902. Mr. Sedawi wants to change the inside, but he won’t change the outside of the pub.
The front will stay mostly the same, and they will fix it up if needed. The two old bar areas become apartments. Each apartment will have a kitchen, living, and dining area.
The back storage and kitchen areas change too. They will become another one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, living, and dining space. The old fireplaces and stairs stay, and they aren’t adding any parking spaces.
