A suspect is in custody after a Valentine’s Day shooting. The victim, Lisa Smith, died outside a Kent pub.

Edvard Stockings’ wife, Lisa Smith, died. The shooting occurred outside a pub on February 14. Stockings called a friend almost two hours later. Then, he drove to a bridge near Dartford and vanished.
Stockings reportedly said, “She’s dead, I love you.” He also said, “I’ll see you on the other side.” Leslie Thompson knew Stockings for three decades. Thompson got the call around 8:50 pm.
Thompson told the BBC his friend seemed to break down. Stockings was also upset by his father’s death two years before. He also said, “I can’t live, we’ve all gone together.” He added, “Armed police will probably shoot me.”
Kent Police found a car and a gun. These items were linked to a suspect near the Dartford Crossing. Police said a man knew the victim. He was reportedly on the wrong side of the bridge. Officers are trying to recover him from the water.
Authorities have not found Stockings’ body yet. They have been searching for three days.
People left tributes for Lisa Smith, age 43. She had two children. Notes remember her as “lovely” and “beautiful.”
About 30 people were in the pub. The shooting happened just after 7 pm. The landlady, Michelle Thomas, heard two loud bangs. She thought they were fireworks at first.
Customers started screaming and crying. Soon, they realized what happened.
