Six-year-old Teddy from the UK prevents thousands of sweet tubs from being dumped, supporting recycling and charity.

Teddy is only six years old. He lives in Netley, Hampshire. His town cannot always recycle the tubs, and he wanted to keep them out of the trash.
Teddy spoke about his mission. Normal bins cannot recycle these tubs, a fact he wants to change. Teddy believes we must save our world. “We only have one planet,” he said.
Sir David Attenborough inspires Teddy. Last year, he gathered 358 tubs that once held sweets or chocolates. He even wrote a letter to his school about it.
His school then told the parents, and Teddy’s family also helped him. His mom put up posters in local shops and he asked his grandpa to check the dump.
Teddy posted online too. He called himself an “eco-warrior,” warning that many tubs go to waste. This year he aimed to save 500 tubs.
He saved far more than 500 this year. Teddy collected 2,598 tubs in one month. His mom is proud of his awareness and how he inspires others to help.
“Any change helps, big or small,” she said, noting that people support his hard work. More tubs always appear at their door, because friends spread the word.
Teddy might become a marine biologist, but he also considers being a stunt man. He collected tubs for a charity appeal called Greene King’s Tub2Pub.
This campaign raises money to support Macmillan Cancer Support, and also recycles plastics. Clean tubs go to Greene King sites, where you can drop them off until February 2025.
Give tubs to bar staff or welcome desks. They send tubs to a recycling center that shreds the plastic. Plastic makers use it instead of new plastic, and all money goes to Macmillan Cancer Support.
After his major success, Teddy will rest. He explained that he has worked hard for two years in a row.
