A man and a woman were arrested. People reported abuse at two stores. One employee was knocked down, and on February 10th, they stole drinks in Faversham on Preston Street. Someone was pushed into shelving and fell.
Two days later, more theft occurred. On February 12th, £165 worth of items vanished from a BP station on St John’s Road in Tunbridge Wells. Suspects verbally abused and threatened staff.
Police detained the suspects later that day, and the man then spat and kicked at police. Freddie Farnie, 31, is from Southborough. He was charged with two thefts and also faces charges for assault on staff and emergency workers. He is charged with criminal damage too.
Jessica Winters, 35, has no fixed address. She faces the same two theft charges. Winters also faces five more shoplifting charges that happened in Tunbridge Wells this year. Both suspects were kept in custody, and they appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
