A two car crash on Soho Hill, Hockley, caused major traffic disruptions near Hamstead Road.

An Audi crashed with a Nissan Quashqai near the Hamstead Road junction. Police, ambulances, and fire trucks went to the scene.
Firefighters put tape around the damaged cars, which both sustained lots of damage. The Nissan was stuck against a lamppost, and the Audi blocked two lanes.
The fire service said they got the call at 5:46 PM and secured the vehicles. Then, they cleared the road quickly. One fire engine came from Ladywood and left at 6:30 PM. An ambulance also showed up.
Traffic service Inrix reported the road block. Soho Hill was partially blocked in both directions between Park Avenue and Soho Avenue. Traffic could pass after the road reopened a bit.
Buses were affected too; National Express rerouted the 74 bus via Villa Road and Hamstead Road. They said sorry for messing up people’s trips.
The road towards the city stayed closed past 7 PM, while the road towards West Bromwich was open. Cars slowly moved past as a police car blocked Soho Hill near the temple, diverting cars onto other roads, including Villa Road, Rose Hill Road, and St Michael’s Road.
