Woman in her 50s found in Southport flat. Two men arrested, then bailed. Police investigate unexplained death.
The ambulance called the police around 6 PM on Wednesday, February 26. Her death is currently unexplained, and police are still figuring things out.
Two men were arrested for murder; one 48-year-old from Kirkdale, and a 60-year-old from Ainsdale. Police have since released them on bail while they continue their investigation.
Reporters on the scene observed numerous police patrol cars and vans. Officers carefully guarded the area. Detectives were seen speaking with forensic personnel inside an upstairs flat.
The following morning, police were still present at the building. They were actively working on the upper floor, focused on that specific area.
