Hasan Solmaz, owner of Istanbul Market plans to open Boname Patisserie on North Main Street, bringing Turkish treats to Cork.

Boname Patisserie opens daily at 7 AM. Closing is at 11 PM each night. They will serve croissants and toasties, along with cakes and Turkish treats. Think pogača bread and sweet baklava.
The café will have regular hot drinks and juices available. They will offer strong Turkish coffee, using a special pot called a cezve. They grind the beans extra fine for this coffee.
Number 92 North Main Street is the address, located between Centra and Self Help Africa. Hasan wants to give back to Cork. He plans a 10% discount for Gardaí, firefighters, teachers, and other public servants.
Hasan has lived in Cork since 2018 and studied psychology at UCC. Besides his store, he works full-time as a wholesaler for Irish shops. Rose Kara is the Social Media Manager, noting their excitement about the project and the big online response so far.
Boname Patisserie is now hiring bakers and baristas. If interested, send a CV via email to bonamepatisserie@gmail.com.
Late-night cafés are becoming popular. Old Town Taqueria Café opened in December, staying open until 1 AM. Their opening weekend was successful.
Cork City Council has a program called ‘Coffee House Lates’. It provides late-night alternatives to pubs, offering an appealing option for the future.
