The woman was 21 years old and had very serious injuries. She was riding on the park campus early Tuesday morning. She went to the hospital quickly, but sadly, she died from her injuries despite the doctors’ efforts. Her parents have been told.

Police are investigating the accident to understand what happened. Officers stayed there for a long time to analyze the events. The police shared their thoughts with the family, acknowledging a very sad time for them.

Two Lime bikes were inside the police area, and this area was closed until noon on Tuesday. Detectives are asking for witnesses to come forward. A student who saw the police scene felt shocked.

A security officer called the event a tragic accident. A police officer confirmed two bikes were involved. Lime offers e-bike rentals in Nottingham, having started this in 2023, offering students a discount.

Lime charges £1 to unlock the bikes and 19p per minute to ride. Nottingham students save 50% on these costs through a partnership between the city council and Lime.
