Two young siblings die in Michigan after being found unresponsive in a van. Cold weather suspected.

The mom noticed the children struggling to breathe. She rushed them to a hospital right away. Sadly, both kids were already dead when they arrived. Authorities in Michigan think the cold played a role. The other three kids got medical help. Reports said they are now doing okay.
Police warn against sleeping in cars when it is freezing. They advise unsheltered people to find assistance. A charity called Shelter wants more social housing. They want 90,000 homes built each year.
This should happen for the next ten years. This could end the housing crisis, they say. Shelter stated they need many houses. They need them to end the housing emergency.
Almost one in eight renters might face eviction. This winter will be difficult. Bills are also increasing a lot. Tenants want the government to stop unfair evictions.
Shelter’s survey explains the problem. About 8% of renters got eviction notices recently. Over 4% owe rent money, sadly. The government promised to stop “no-fault” evictions. A bill about renters’ rights is being discussed.
