Georgia Lye has worked there for six years and was only 19 at the time of an interview. She wants to keep the business in her family and eventually take it over. She wants it to last much longer than the already impressive 42 years.
Seafare announced Georgia’s win on Facebook with a post on February 26 stating, “She’s only gone and won! We are SO proud of her!”. In 2024, Georgia was nominated before, considered one of the best young friers.
Then a year later, she won a bigger award and is now the country’s best employee. Customers also praise Seafare a lot. A review from November 2024 called it “Brilliant” and said it’s the best fish and chips, never letting them down; their regular order is haddock or cod.
Another review stated it’s the best chippy. This review from September 2024, said they had sausage and chips that day. The chips were fresh, the sausage batter tasted fresh too, and they felt it had good value, recommending it.
