Hey, guess what I just read? A little kid left their nursery. It happened at Bankhead Primary in Rutherglen. The kid walked right out to the school gates. This was on Wednesday, February 26.

Someone from the staff saw the child and quickly brought the kid back inside. The council said they’re taking this seriously and told the Care Inspectorate about it.

The council chatted with the parents too, wanting to see what they can learn. An insider told about workers finding the child and returning the child because staff wasn’t aware.

Jacqueline Wallace spoke about the event, confirming a child left the nursery briefly and that the staff member stopped the child. The council is reviewing what happened.

The Care Inspectorate knows about the incident. They are talking to the nursery to ensure kids are safe and will act if needed, as safety is their main focus.

You can contact the Care Inspectorate at 0345 600 9527. If you have concerns about care services, call them.
