Three suspects arrested in connection to Robert Scott Clive’s disappearance after new information surfaced. Search continues.

Police searched a house on Coronation Street in North Shields on Monday. Scott Clive possibly visited there the night he vanished. A tent stands outside the house, where forensics officers worked inside.
People last saw Scott Clive around 11 PM on October 10, 2002. He was originally from Stranraer and was reported missing by a family member. Initial inquiries led to a murder investigation, though they never found his body.
People possibly saw him near the River Tyne in the early hours of October 11, 2002. The man matched Mr. Clive’s description closely.
Police reviewed hours of CCTV footage and spoke to witnesses since he disappeared, trying to piece together his last known movements. Northumbria Police arrested two men who are in their 40s and 50s and a woman in her 40s. All are suspected of murder.
The three people arrested are still in police custody. The search continues on Coronation Street for a sixth day, and a section of the street remains closed. It is uncertain how long the searches will continue.
Detective Inspector Mark Atherton is leading the investigation and said his team is trying to help Scott’s family. Atherton also stated they received new information that led to the three arrests related to Scott’s disappearance.
Atherton believes the local community may have information and urges anyone who lived on Coronation Street at that time to come forward. People with details about Scott’s movements that night should contact police, as this information could be key to the investigation.
