A third man has been arrested in Dublin following the fatal stabbing of Quaham Babatunde on South Anne Street.

The victim was from Nigeria. Reports indicate a masked man stabbed him after a dispute between two groups. These groups were reportedly leaving an Afroswing gig at Twenty Two early Saturday. Two men were previously arrested earlier today in connection to the stabbing.
One man, in his 20s, was arrested today following searches in Dublin. The PSNI arrested another man, who is being held in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Gardaí said a third man, also in his 20s, was arrested and is detained in Dublin under Section 4 of the 1984 Act. The other two arrested still remain in custody.
Gardaí are still asking for witnesses to come forward with information. The spokesperson specified a time between 2:45am and 3:30am on Saturday, Feb 15, 2025. This relates to the area of South Anne Street and Duke Lane Upper.
Gardaí are seeking information or mobile footage from that location, as well as camera footage from drivers, including dash-cam video, from Dawson Street or St. Stephen’s Green around the same time.
