A house in Northleach had a break-in between 5 and 7 PM. The thieves smashed the back patio door, and then stole things. Someone reported a similar break-in at The Beeches. The owners came home and found damage.
Thieves had broken the patio doors there, too. Another burglary happened in Stratton before 8 PM. The owners discovered forced entry via back doors. It happened between 6:50 PM and 7:45 PM.
Near Poulton, someone broke in around 8:45 PM. They smashed rear patio doors again. The thieves ransacked the house and stole watches.
Police are investigating these burglaries now. They want to hear from witnesses. Do you have CCTV or vehicle dashcam footage? Report any odd happenings. If you have info, tell the police online. Quote incident 457 from February 5th.
Police suggest ways to keep your home safe. Secure back gates especially. Use “WIDE” home security. It includes several good measures.
“WIDE” means window locks are used. Also, indoor lights should go on timers. Double door locks or deadbolts are important too. Install outdoor sensor lights, as well.
Store car fobs and spares safely. Try a signal blocker pouch or box. Keep car keys away from doors. Don’t display valuable items where people can see them.
