A man used a stolen bank card to purchase £170 of alcohol. He was identified via CCTV and now faces charges.

Police went to Welbeck Convenience Store and requested to see security camera footage. They easily identified Lee Harvey in the video. Harvey now faces consequences for his actions.
Harvey received an £80 fine from the court. He must also pay £85 in costs and a £32 victim surcharge. He admitted he committed fraud.
The prosecutor, Paul Coulson, spoke in court, explaining the victim left her bag open on October 14. She received card transaction alerts the next day. She then realized her bag’s contents had vanished.
Police reviewed store CCTV, and the video showed Harvey buying alcohol with another person. They used the stolen card on October 15.
The court learned Harvey had prior offenses, but he had stayed out of trouble since 2017. Neil Connell defended Harvey in court, stating Harvey didn’t steal the card, but he did get it somehow; additionally, Harvey admitted guilt right away.
