Water should be returning in South East London after burst pipe repair. Some areas may experience low pressure.

They needed bottled water due to the outage. Seven schools had issues, as did three care homes. Thames Water says water should slowly return. Pressure in the system is building after repairs.
Expect lower pressure at times. You might lose water briefly during peak use. The water could look cloudy at first. It may also appear bubbly. Thames Water says it is safe to drink. This look happens from air in the pipes.
No water? Visit the bottled water station. You can find it at Sainsbury’s on Southend Lane. It closes at 9 pm. A Thames Water person apologized for the issues. The burst pipe caused low pressure or no water.
Crews fixed the pipe, they said. The water system’s pressure is slowly rising. Teams diverted water to help customers. But this lowered pressure in some buildings. Some people were annoyed by the water problems.
Anna Kakule from Sydenham also lost water. She said the water came and went for days. Pressure was not very strong when it worked. She collected bottled water for the first time. She saw the water station by chance.
