Hey, guess what’s happening in Woolwich! Some empty spaces near the DLR station look pretty bad. They’ve been like that for maybe fifteen years. Someone brought it up at a Greenwich Council meeting recently.

This councillor, Sam Littlewood, asked TfL what it plans to do. TfL said they are looking at their land. They mentioned some snags and that their property folks work with others.

They may develop those spaces sometime. They added some art to the fences facing Beresford Square. The square is getting fixed up, too, which is cool. Plus, they’re handling illegal dumping there.

Littlewood wasn’t happy with TfL’s answer. He mentioned the vacant sites are a waste. He wants TfL to get its act together and do something.

A TfL guy, Josh Freestone, admitted the answer was unclear. Now, he will talk to his property colleagues about all this. He’ll try to get more details soon. Freestone needs to discuss their actual plans for it.

He can’t speak fully on what’s happening yet today. He promised to check on things and follow up on progress.
