New homes in Old Trafford on Bold Street. Homes for Trafford to build with council support. Half will be affordable.

Homes for Trafford is building the houses in partnership with the local council. They will give almost £1 million for schools nearby. Half the homes will be affordable for people.
Seventy-three homes will be affordable. Sixteen homes will be solely for social rent and fifty-seven will be for rent-to-buy or shared ownership. They also planned for cycle storage.
The plan includes on-street parking and courtyards. They’re creating paths for walking. There will be a play area, with a car-free path between spaces.
Councillors all agreed on the plan although one councillor had parking worries, thinking some cars might end up elsewhere. He likes the design, however.
He mentioned there are 147 homes, but they only made 145 parking spots. He noted many families own multiple cars now, still he voted for it, though.
The committee chair said they will manage parking and find the best solutions. He said terraced homes are great and represent a good use of space.
He also said noise from Loreto College isn’t a big deal and people will know what to expect. He thinks it will be alright because they know about the college.
