Hey, guess what happened in Rugby. Police took ten dogs. The dogs were out of control, it sounds like a mess. Three people got hurt in dog attacks at Rugby. This all went down on Bath Street, yesterday afternoon.

People called 999 around 3:35 pm. They reported loose dogs attacking a boy’s dog. He was walking his dog right on Bath Street. Police think the attacking dogs were American Bulldogs.

Officers rushed over to help the boy. Three people helped him before police arrived. They managed to catch one of the attackers. Sadly, these helpers suffered bad hand and face injuries doing so.

Police secured the caught dog in their van. The other two dogs ran away quickly. Officers found the dogs’ home nearby. Inside, they found the third attacker. Seven other dogs were there too.

The third attacking dog hid in a garden. Officers caught it fast, thankfully. They seized all ten dogs then. They arrested a 33-year-old man from Coventry.

He may have let a dog be dangerously out of control. The police said this today, February 18. The Coventry man is still in custody today. Police said the seized dogs are fine.

They await news on the boy’s dog though. They don’t know his dog’s condition. The boy’s name hasn’t been shared. Sergeant Christian Jones thanked those who called 999. He also thanked the brave helpers who stepped in. They hope the boy’s dog recovers soon.
