Man jailed after toy gun bought on Temu caused public alarm. Social media mocks purchase and bizarre haircut.

Warburton believed people were after him, so he bought the gun and armor. Police searched him at a Wetherspoons, where the toy gun fell from his holster. He admitted intent to cause fear and was jailed for one year.
Online, people made fun of his hair, which looked oddly shaved on the sides. One person joked about “John Wicks,” while another said Temu was his barber. Someone else said the haircut was the real crime.
Another user mentioned Wetherspoons and joked a blind man cut his hair with a fork. Someone else mentioned long Temu delivery times and joked he might lose his hair while waiting.
Prosecutor Paul Blasbery stated in court that Warburton dropped a black handgun, which they quickly saw was a toy gun. Warburton had three prior convictions.
In 2023, he possessed blades in public. Desmond Lennon defended him, saying Warburton bought the armor online and the toy gun from Temu or Etsy, believing people resented his actions and were after him.
Judge Byrne spoke about the toy gun, saying it could distress the public and cause considerable alarm. He then sentenced Warburton to jail.
