Imagine a normal Sunday in Primark. People looked at clothes. Families hunted for school shoes. Suddenly, violence erupted. A teen got stabbed in the chest right in front of shoppers. He went to the hospital with bad injuries.

People in Nottingham feel shaken up. The crime happened in broad daylight. One man, Rob Pearson, saw the police tape and thinks crime is out of control. He said kids are out of control too and wants more police on the streets.

Pearson said he warned politicians years ago that knife crime was not a priority. He spoke directly to Jon Collins about it, believing the problems would return. He thinks this proves it needs more attention.

Dr. Marcellus Baz runs Switch Up, a youth group helping kids avoid crime. He worries stabbings will continue unless politicians understand the root causes. He was very upset by the Primark stabbing.

Baz feels society repeats mistakes and wants a radical solution like public health. He said this is a systemic problem and people must take this seriously. Otherwise, more attacks will happen.

Baz thinks people are becoming numb to it; knife attacks seem normal now. “We must look at things differently,” he said, adding that as a community, people must challenge leaders. Baz is tired of inaction and says it could happen to anyone.

A woman outside Primark felt shocked and worried about her children’s safety. She fears violence can happen anywhere, adding there is no real deterrent. “Grim is the word,” she concluded.

A store manager nearby echoed her fear and asked, “Why is it even happening?” A teen has been arrested and is suspected of causing serious harm.

Police Inspector Paul Shortt called it shocking. Detectives worked to investigate it fast and have now found a suspect.

Primark closed the Nottingham store and sent thoughts to the victim. They will support their staff closely and are helping police with the investigation. Call 101, quoting incident 241, if you have info.
