A 16-year-old boy is in hospital after being hit by a van while riding an e-bike in Speke. Police are investigating.

A boy got hit by a van around 3:20 PM. Emergency services went to the scene. The incident involved an electric bike and a van.
The boy, 16, got really hurt and is being treated at the hospital. Police said the van driver stayed there and is helping with the investigation.
An air ambulance was seen leaving. The road is still closed off between Oldbridge Road and East Dam Wood Road. Police want people to stay away for now as they need to investigate properly.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson, with the collision investigation unit, spoke about it. He said they feel for the boy and his family and asks witnesses to come forward quickly, as even small details can matter.
