A teen was stabbed and his bike stolen after crashing into a car. The incident happened in Sefton, and police are investigating.

“Unknown people” took the boy’s bike. The attack began in Crosby and extended into Waterloo around 6 PM on Monday, February 24th.
The 15-year-old boy was stabbed, suffering injuries to his leg, buttock, arm, and chest. Detectives believe the stabbing occurred near Crosby Leisure Centre and was perpetrated by two males on electric bikes. The boy escaped on another electric bike.
The car driver stopped and called for help. Police confirmed that everyone involved used electric bikes. The boy was taken to the hospital, where his condition is serious but stable now.
Police stated that someone took the boy’s bike near the Cambridge Road crash site before their arrival. Officers initiated a search for the electric bikes involved in the incident.
During the search, they observed someone pushing a Sur-Ron bike into a property in Seaforth. Inside, police seized two Sur-Ron bikes and also found some cannabis.
Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Seaforth on suspicion of wounding with intent. He faced charges related to cannabis and vehicle theft and was subsequently bailed with conditions.
A 44-year-old man, also from Seaforth, was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent. He was additionally charged with assisting an offender and later released under investigation.
Detective Inspector Edward Barr addressed the progress of the investigation, noting the arrests and seizures. He acknowledged public concern about the stabbing and stated that more patrols have been deployed in the area.

Forensic work is underway, and police have conducted house-to-house inquiries. They are also examining CCTV footage to determine the sequence of events.
Given that the area was populated around 6 PM, police are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything to come forward. Drivers with dashcam footage are encouraged to contact them, as this could help identify the attackers.
Det Insp Barr emphasized that knives are unacceptable and that police will act on any information regarding weapons. He urged people to share information and asked them to call Crimestoppers anonymously.
