A 13 year old boy is fighting for his life after suffering a cardiac arrest during attempted robbery in Manchester.

Blake was with two friends at the time. A group of other kids came toward them and tried to rob Blake and his friends. Blake’s mom says he got very scared.
His mom, Tracy, said Blake’s heart stopped. He needed to be resuscitated twice, both at the scene and in the ambulance. Blake is now at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
Tracy says Blake is trying to open his eyes, but she is worried and says he’s not safe yet. “Nobody wants their child fighting for their life,” she stated, believing that fear caused the cardiac arrest.
A couple helped Blake when he was on the street, and Tracy wants to thank those helpful strangers. She is grateful for their quick assistance.
Blake had gone out to meet friends and was dancing when some older kids came close. Tracy says no one touched him during the event, but she thinks the fear made his heart stop.
Tracy described Blake as funny and amazing. She said he is a wonderful kid who goes everywhere with her, she added affectionately.
Tracy said she would not want to live without Blake because he means everything to her. Now, Tracy waits for his medical test results, as doctors are doing brain and heart scans.
One scan looks promising so far. Tracy believes her deceased relatives are watching over Blake, and she hopes they are protecting him.
Tracy wants people to know this can happen. She thinks it is bad that kids do this when Blake and his buddies were just having fun. Authorities have been contacted for comment.
