A 17-year-old boy died in a car crash at an Applegreen station in Uckfield on Valentine’s Day. Police seek witnesses.

The accident was at an Applegreen station in New Town, Uckfield, around 5 PM on Friday, February 14. The boy who died was 17, but police haven’t named him yet; he drove a gray Audi A3.
People tried to help the boy, and emergency workers also did CPR, but sadly, he died at the scene. An 18-year-old man from Lewes was also in the car but was uninjured.
Sussex Police are still investigating and want witnesses to speak up. Photos show the road closed by police in the 20 mph zone near the station, with the Audi upside down and broken glass all around.
Detective Rosie Newman, who works with serious collisions, said the investigation continues with no other vehicles involved, and gave her condolences to the family.
