Amen came to Glasgow with his dad eight years ago and was a student at St Thomas Aquinas Secondary. His family were refugees from Eritrea. His sister said he wanted to become a doctor, or perhaps an engineer or basketball player.
The school described Amen as bright and friendly, and the headteacher called his death a shock. Amen was interested in music and media. His support worker felt extreme grief; people are trying to support Amen’s family now.
An online fundraiser helps Amen’s family and people donated over £4,500. The money assists the grieving family. People can still send information to the police by either phone or through the anonymous website.
