The crash occurred on Oldham Road, which links Saddleworth and Rishworth. February 4th was the date of the accident, and police say it happened before 1 a.m. Six teenagers were inside a black Vauxhall Corsa when the car left the A672 Oldham Road.
The road was closed near M62 junction 22. Harrison was taken to a hospital right away, but his life support was turned off later on February 16th, when he sadly passed away.
Social media showed many tributes to him, and people remembered Harrison fondly online. A GoFundMe page was created, raising money for his funeral. The GoFundMe post explained the tragedy and said Harrison fought hard, but his body could not recover. It said he died February 17th at 3:45 a.m.
The five other teenagers got arrested after the crash. They were later released on bail, and police continue to investigate the incident.
Police ask witnesses to come forward and want information about the collision. They encourage people with dashcam footage to contact them.
