A teen was arrested after threatening emails were sent to schools in Kent. Investigation ongoing.

Kent Police learned about the email around 8 AM Thursday. Officers went to the school and talked to the people there. Other Gravesham schools reported similar emails, prompting police to give advice.
They thought the emails weren’t a real threat. Later Thursday, police arrested a 17-year-old girl from Gravesend. They think she harassed someone and she is still in custody as they investigate.
Chief Inspector Will Lay said safety is their top concern and added they responded quickly. He also found the email was likely not a real threat, understanding the local worry and school problems. He hopes the arrest provides reassurance.
