Teen Arrested After Threatening Emails Sent to Kent Schools

Hey, guess what happened in Kent. A teen got arrested because of a scary email. It went to schools there. Police say a Northfleet school got a bad message early on.

Kent Police learned about the email around 8 AM Thursday. Officers went to the school and talked to the people there. Other Gravesham schools reported similar emails, prompting police to give advice.

They thought the emails weren’t a real threat. Later Thursday, police arrested a 17-year-old girl from Gravesend. They think she harassed someone and she is still in custody as they investigate.

Chief Inspector Will Lay said safety is their top concern and added they responded quickly. He also found the email was likely not a real threat, understanding the local worry and school problems. He hopes the arrest provides reassurance.

The investigation is ongoing to find out what happened. If you know anything, call Kent Police at 01474 366149, using reference number 46/24986/25. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555111 or using their online form.
