A man was stabbed in Belfast. An 18-year-old has been arrested. Police seek information regarding this incident.

An 18-year-old was arrested for several offenses related to the stabbing. The victim was hurt in the Holyland area and reports say he was stabbed once. Paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment.
Inspector McCourt shared that the assault happened around 7:35 pm. He added, a man in his fifties was attacked near Agincourt Avenue, close to Ormeau Road.
The inspector said the man was stabbed in the shoulder. Doctors say his condition is serious but stable, after he went to the hospital. Police arrested an 18-year-old man; he is suspected of wounding with intent and may have had an offensive weapon in public.
He’s still in police custody while they investigate the events that occurred.
