A teen boy suffered serious injuries in a Croydon shooting. He is seventeen years old. The shooting happened on Monday around 7:35 PM at High Street and Park Street’s junction.

Police officers quickly went to the scene and paramedics rushed the boy to a hospital right away. He had a gunshot wound on his leg, and his injury is possibly life-changing. The police informed his family.

A police spokesperson reported an ongoing investigation. They received shooting reports at 7:37 PM on Monday, locating it on Park Street. Officers and paramedics responded and took the boy to the hospital due to his gunshot wound.

Police closed off Park Street, which contains several businesses inside the closed area, including Five Guys, Post Office, and NatWest. Also closed are Betfred, Murkur Slots, Millets, and Rawlings Opticians. Police ask anyone with info to call 101, using CAD number 6140/10Feb.

The ambulance service received a call at 7:43 PM about a shooting on Croydon’s High Street. They sent an ambulance, a paramedic car, and a manager. They treated a man and rapidly took him to a major trauma center.

A shopkeeper feels used to Croydon’s violence, saying his shop has been robbed many times. People snatch phones from his store, and they also sell fake phones. He’s seen this violence often.

Another local worker reported violence in the area, stating stabbings often happen on George Street. He also spoke of a throat-slitting incident last year that involved a 16-year-old boy near Nando’s. He finds the violence worrying.
